Dagny joined our family 5 months ago (yesterday) and it has been a wild ride! She's really growing up and while that means growing pains as well as growing gains, moving forward is always good!
She's rolling (only to the left and only back to front) and can't be kept from doing it, which is tough and kind of hysterical. I recently posted about her food exploration, so I won't repeat though things are getting better each time we eat. Dagny has gotten into toys at long last and it's nice for her to be able to entertain herself on the floor, in the car, and wherever else we might be. Her favorites change so nothing major to report, but she continues to love chewing on her lovey (Rocky the Raccoon) and has recently come to enjoy the plastic apple that Finley adored when he was her age. She is a champ in the exersaucer (aka "the office" or "the circle of neglect") and loves the jumper (Finley loves that one too, he "fixes" it with his tools to make sure it is always in working order for his baby sister). The bumbo is also a good place to plop her since Dagny's still not able to sit on her own, though we are making progress there.
Night sleep and naps won't be discussed here, for many reasons, but we continue to swing in and out of sleep deprived states with positive hope for the future.
Our big concern is that Dagny still refuses to take a bottle of breastmilk, which makes me tethered to her and will make her transition to daycare a bit challenging. However, something tells me that she'll get with the program and make us proud.
Our blue-eyed cutie continues to plump up and fill out. How long will those blue eyes remain, who knows--so I'm capturing all the photos of them I can!!!
