We spent last week in Florida as Dan competed in the national ultimate frisbee championships. This is Dan's 11th trip (I think) and my 11th (I think). It was Finley's 3rd (I know) and if you count the fact that Dagny was a poppyseed growing in my uterus last year, this was her 2nd. My mom joined us to help out get in on the family fun. I didn't take that many photos but between my mom's and mine, we got some keepers.
We didn't spend as much time at the fields as usual since Dan wasn't able to play too much, due to a herniated disk in his neck, and with two kids--time lounging on the sideline wasn't as relaxing and enjoyable as it once was!
Dagny enjoyed her sun hoody and kept cool in the shade of her carseat.
But came out to stretch from time to time.Finley had his sunshirt on, too, but did anything but stay cool and sit in the shade. Here he is running in circles yelling, "Go Ironside!"
Our schedule was all over the place, so while some naps happened back at our condo--others were taken on the go.
Our condo was SO close to the beach, Dan and Finley enjoyed the first sunset the day we arrived.
Lots of other beach fun was had, especially when Eliot was around!
Finley's sandbox obsession really came in handy at the beach.
By the end of our time there, the wind was so strong that being at the beach wasn't too fun. So one afternoon, we brought a bucket of sand back to our condo and played on the deck where we were mostly protected from the blustery breezes.Hurricane Sandy kept us from the beach and kept us in Florida for an extra day, but all things considered we survived the storm quite well and returned to our house that had weathered the storm just fine.
