Finley's Baby Bucket List

On Friday afternoon, Dan was able to come home much earlier than usual and we knew we had to take advantage of such an occasion! We hopped in the car in search of a new and different place to walk that also had a playground. We settled on Menotomy Rocks Park which was only ten minutes from us. Dan pushed Finley in his Bumbleride all over the pinecone covered paths and we loved how quiet and serene it was in the woods. The stroller handled the terrain wonderfully and Finley was soon fast asleep! We parked at the playground that we found for a while, hoping Finley would wake up once he stopped rolling...but alas, he snoozed for another twenty minutes. We walked him around the nearby pond and when he finally woke up, we headed straight back to the playground since I was on a mission! One of the items on Finley's Baby Bucket list is to ride in a bucket swing (how poignant, eh?) so here was our chance. Much like the highchair experiment from earlier in the week, I knew Finley was a still a bit small, but I was dying to see if he'd like it in the swing. Dan and I took turns taking photos and pushing Finley...hm, maybe this experience was on my bucket list, not Finley's since I had SO much fun.

Clearly, he wasn't sold on the idea at first!

But he enjoyed the wind in his hair

and getting to come flying in to his parents' smiling faces!

Well, hold on...is this swinging thing really that great?

I apologize for the blurriness of these photos, but I wanted to capture how small Finley looked in the swing from this perspective. And how happy! I can't wait to find another playground next week. The best part, though, was that Dan got to do this with us!! Hooray for Dad!!
