Cousinpalooza!

My parents (Grammy and Granddad) picked us up and the airport and the kids napped on the ride back to their lake house.  Thank goodness for that since as soon as we arrived, cousins Owen and Natalie were eagerly awaiting our arrival and the fun never stopped!

First, the kids wanted a boat ride and Granddad obliged!!
It was the 4th, so it was grillables for dinner and all four kids enjoyed hot dogs, baked beans, corn on the cob, and each other's company.

Later in the day, we did sparklers and smores out near the fire pit and then everyone but Dagny and I went for an evening boat ride to watch the fireworks.

The next day, we had Dagny's Mixter family birthday celebration.  Love this American Flag fruit cake my mom made!!
It was great to celebrate with cousins and Dagny was really loving the fact that it seemed to be her birthday every other day!
Later that afternoon, we went mini golfing.  4 kids and 5 adults...good thing no one was behind us on the green!!
It was super hot, but the kids did well!

The fun continued through the weekend with another trip to the beach where the bigger kids splashed and swam with Dan, Chris, and Grammy, rides in the kayaks propelled by Chris and Dan, more meals without shirts on the porch, and some World Cup soccer viewing.  Dagny and Natalie liked trying to catch pretend bugs in their bug nets, too.
One more photo before Owen and Natty headed to their house.

How lucky are they?? How lucky are we??
