Coney Island was a top attraction on our list that week and despite the windy weather, we had a blast. We had lunch at Nathan's first. One word: yum. Dagny had fun bounding around the vast boardwalk with her shovel and pail in hand, she could sense the beach was near!
But before hitting the sand, we had to visit the kids' amusement park so Finley could do some rides. Thank goodness he made the cut!
His first stop was on the firetrucks, big surprise!
He loved every loop around!
Then he went for a boat ride (after chickening out of the plane ride)
Last, but not least, he was a passenger in a monster truck.
Then, it was beach time! Too bad we didn't bring enough buckets...
GG and Grandpa's umbrella's held up in the intense wind fairly well, but it was a challenge!!While it wasn't quite warm enough for swimming, we made the best of the time on the beach.
Finley and I took this "selfie" - I just adore it!
Finley and Dan went off to toss the frisbee and Dagny had fun climbing on the chair and watching them.
Finley had fun throwing, diving, and even catching the disc despite the wind.
Dagny tried to get to them, but it was quite a ways in uneven terrain so she didn't go far.
Finley also loved chasing seagulls, this picture really captures the fun!
We had a great time at the iconic Coney Island and look forward to going back again sometime.
