Top of our list of must-dos was a visit to the Bronx Zoo, so on our first full day there we made a day of it.
The giraffes were so tall and majestic, we watched them for quite a while.
We took a snack/lunch break and Finley and Dan planned out the rest of our path through the zoo.
We saw lots of creatures that I didn't take photos of, apparently, but the highlight was certainly the penguins who swam like clockwork back and forth along the same path much to our delight.

We all had fun and everyone napped well that afternoon :) a great way to start our NY adventure!
