Back in November, GG, Grandpa, and all four of us went to see SteveSongs at a local elementary school. Finley is OBSESSED with Steve's music and can often be heard singing, humming, and even dancing to it. This will be our fourth Steve Show and Finley was bursting with excitement.
Dagny was all smiles as we settled onto the floor for the show, the second song Steve played with her favorite, "Brush, Brush, Brush" but after that - she kind of lost interest or got overwhelmed, it was hard to tell. She made it through another couple of songs before Dan took her out in hallway for a break.
Finley, on the other hand, was loving every second of it. Steve did his two favorites: "Recess (reading) Rocks" and "Flat Stanley."
We have continued to listen to Steve in the car and in the house with both kids loving to dance to their favorite jams in the basement. Finley's love of the song "Rockets" has taught him great words like orbit and the song "Shapes" has introduced him to famous artists like Picasso, VanGogh, and Michelangelo (who he reported today is also a ninja turtle, according to his friend, Ben). We love music in our house and even this kind of "kid music" is tolerable around here :)
