Bookworms

Our kids LOVE books.  If there was a better verb than love, I'd use it.  They love to read in the playroom, before bed, when they wake up, during dinner, in the car, on the airplane, in the basement, at the library, and when they are looking at books - they like to listen to books on CD or on the ipod at home or in the car.  As a teacher and a parent, one of my proudest accomplishments is raising two amazing bookworms.  While sometimes we'd like to just watch them play by themselves instead of reading to them, we realize how lucky we are that they find books so amazing and engrossing.  On a rare occasion, they even let other people read to them besides us! Dagny really had Grandpa wrapped around her finger back in November, he would have read her a thousand books :)

And when Uncle Eric visited us this fall, Dagny put him right to work.
Finley knows a few of his favorite books by heart and can "read" them to Dagny, which is LOVES.

Dan took this amazing pair of photos last month and they just melt my heart as they capture not only our kids' love of stories, but of Finley's always present "big brotherness" to his adoring little sister.
