A Carousel Ride for Two

Last weekend the kids and I went to the mall to grab a couple of things and return others but made sure we had time to play air hockey, ride in mechanical rockets ships, jump around in the play space, and have pizza before hopping onto the carousel in the food court.  Some mall, huh?

Finley has been on this a couple times but Dagny was either too little or not interested in the past, but that day--it was her idea! "I ride that, mama?"

We carefully selected two horses that didn't go up and down (Finley's preference) and the operator wrapped the seat belts around them before the ride started.  Dagny was ready!

 I got a little dizzy standing backwards to get photos...

 But this one made it all worth it!!  She was truly beaming!!

Dagny LOVED the ride and Finley seemed equally thrilled to now have a parter to ride with.  They got their hands stamped and said goodbye to the horses before heading home.  I think our kids will define malls by their amusement park like features and not their store directories...but I hear malls will be a thing of the past by the time they are old enough to navigate such things on their own.
