Aunt Caitlin, my sister, spent Memorial Day weekend with us while Dan was away and she emailed me her photos this week so here they are!
Finley got to go kayaking at LL Bean, Caitlin even got him into a lifejacket for a few seconds :)
Then, it was off a playground that we had known about but never had the chance to go. Finley fell in love with the big orange safari truck at first sight.
I pushed in him in the swing while Caitlin attempted to get into the baby swing hanging next to him...wish I had photos of that failed endeavor!
We went home for a nap and all three of us snoozed--Caitlin was thrilled at the prospect of getting to take a nap each and every afternoon during her visit. Well, my dear, that's how a pregnant mom of a nap-master-toddler rolls!
Then, we got to take Caitlin to see our potential (now official) new house since I needed to bring our realtor a check and sign some papers. Here it is!! And yes, Dan is frightened of having to mow that lawn...
Finley enjoyed a graham cracker while the adults talked business.
We played a local playground but nearly melted from the heat and had to find a shady place to have ice cream! In typical Finley fashion, he requested most of the ice cream be scraped into the bowl so he could reach the cone.
Post ice-cream, there was a neat antique tractor that Finley had to be physically removed from after about 15 minutes. He was driving it around, feeding the animals, and gathering hay (or so he told us!).
What a day!
However, Caitlin fell into the classic trap--the photographer is not in any of the photos. Bummer. But she was there and a HUGE help, trust me!
Al, that house looks great--such a lovely traditional exterior. And what a great yard to play in.
