Finley's walking more and more each day. He knows he can crawl faster and more easily, but we're seeming him try to walk in the direction he wants to go first before resorting to crawling. It's pretty amazing to see this upright progression happen, he looks more grown up and seems quite driven. He will walk from one piece of furniture to another and when he walks towards us, he doesn't lean so far forward that he completely falls into our laps when he arrives. He can hold things while walking and once in a while, he's been able to squat down to pick something up and keep going. He still needs something to pull up on to get upright, but after that he's off!
We tried on and off this weekend to get a solid walking video to post. Hopefully a couple of these will give you a good sense of his walking status.
He'll be one in just over a week and something tells me he'll be able to walk over and blow out his birthday candle on his own, what do you think? Okay, maybe the walking over part he'll do but we'll help him blow out the candle...
